We believe growing fresh local food using responsible growing methods is important for many reasons:
Locally grown food tastes better because it is picked fresh and has the ability to make the trip from our farm to your dinner table hours after harvest. It reduces pollution caused by the average 1,500 mile trip most food takes from farm to grocery store.
Natural growing methods do not use synthetic chemicals or fertilizers that can contaminate ground water, streams, lakes, and rivers.
Growing methods using crop rotation and soil improvement provide the basic principals of creating a natural balance that help control pest, weed, and disease problems.
